Grapes for this wine come from a vineyard planted in 1998, trained along a low vertical trellis, on land that overlooks the Duero river. The vineyard extends over an area of 4 hectares, and its most important feature is its soil: sand and pebbles on top of a bed of limestone.
Grapes are placed in a stainless steel tank and left to macerate on skins for 20 to 24 hours before being pressed. The must is racked off its solids and the clarified liquid fermented again in stainless steel at 16 degrees. Fermentation lasts about 10 days and then left to rest on its lees. Regular battonage keeps the lees in suspension and helps to build mouthfeel and complexity in its flavours.
The 2024 vintage immediately catches the eye with its vivid chrome-yellow colour, laced with bright green reflections. The nose is expressive and layered, offering a vibrant medley of white fruits—crisp apple and juicy pear—lifted by exotic notes of pineapple and the ripe sweetness of peach. On the palate, it’s bright and zesty, with a lively acidity and a gentle, varietal bitterness that lend structure and energy. This is a joyful, fruit-driven Verdejo that delivers freshness and charm in equal measure—perfect for those who love a wine that’s both vibrant and effortlessly drinkable.
